Here are some things that I can vaguely remember:

Building a boat in mousehunt is extremely expensive

Lemon torta tastes good

Mundella greek yoghurt tastes good too

That eating yoghurt helps my digestion

School starts tomorrow

That my little sister can be really nice if she wants to

How to find the intersection point between a line and a plane

How draw pictures in Paint tool SAI

That nobody on the Playfish Forum wants to buy my art

Tim Winton is a very good writer

So yeah, as you can see, I haven't learnt much. But tomorrow school reopens and I'll be learning bucket loads of random important crap until my head blows up into smithereens and shoots off into outer space. What kind of person attracts you?

Hey, instead of listing out all the points that attract me, I'm going to do the complete opposite and list the points that repulse me. This is because there are too many attractive attributes to list and there are a few things that really REALLY turn me off, so let's get started.

Beard and mustache (obvious facial hair on men is really icky in my opinion)

Smelly (Please at least put cologne or something...I don't like the smell of your armpits)

Financially controlling (I don't want a guy who tells me I can't buy something. I will be working too so who are you to tell me I can't spend my own hard earnt money.)

Believing in the patriarchal ideology (The notion that women must do all the domestic household roles is history. Men need to do those too as well!)

Not talking (I guess this would suck if your boyfriend/husband doesn't talk to you. What's the point of company then?)

Deeply religious (Having a religion is okay with me, even I pray to God when in strife. Just don't take it so seriously that everything has to do with your religion!)

Controlling in general (If a guy is controlling my life, I'd just leave. Seriously, I would be better off living myself doing any happy thing I want. You need me, but I won't need you.)

Those are some points that come off my head at this present time. Moving aside from the topic, I'm so addicted to Big Bang's "La-La-La". Such an old song I know, but my little sister keeps playing the music video and now I've got the tune stuck in my head.

So old school Big Bang eh...they look so young here - I think Seungri is the same age here as I am now! And Taeyang with his braids LOL.

I also would like to post up my recent artwork from yesterday and today.

Vector style:

Thick line style:

Thin line style:

I don't think I'll be doing art for a while until maybe the next school holidays or so. I can't imagine how life would be without them, especially my mother and my little sister.

If you're reading this (directed to my sister), I still think you are super annoying and I want you to stay out of my sight when I'm busy. But truthfully, I do miss you and all the noise you make when you are not around. Contradictory I know, right?

To my mother, I am so grateful that even though I am so old and I should be looking after myself more, you still (reluctantly) give me no housework to do and cook me food everyday. One day I shall learn domestic responsibilities and do the same for you. Just don't expect anything to magically happen this year as I have to work harder for my university entrance exams.

Oh, I also want to show a picture a drew yesterday:

I think my colouring in photoshop has improved since my last drawing. A photo of something that makes you happy

I'm kind of annoyed because I didn't blog yesterday, not because I forgot but due to my own laziness. I went to bed at my earliest time ever since I came back to Australia which was around 9:30 pm. Anyway, I have to make up for yesterday's absence so I will be blogging two times today.

Oops, how rude. I forgot to say "Happy Australia Day" to you all! Not sure what exactly we are celebrating but who cares, it's a public holiday here and everyone is happy with that. The weather however, we are not happy! For the next few days it is going to around 35+ degrees Celsius and we are all becoming roast pork while our homes are the oven. @__@

Also, this morning I was so annoyed because when combing my hair, many strands came out. Pray to God: my hair is already so thin, please do not let anymore drop please? Sad. I don't want my thinning hairline to get even worse than it already is. Men have it easy - just shave it off! For girls, people will think you are a cancer patient or something if you shave it off.

Back to the original purpose of this post - A photo of something that makes you happy.

See? I'll start with the opposite sex (male as I am female). There aren't many boys who I talk to at school, and even if I do chat often with them, it's not enough for me to determine 5 things about them that irritate me. There is only one male person in the whole world that I can honestly judge, one who irritates me so much I want to slap him, and also one who I love the most. I think you can guess...it's my father.

I just got changed from coming out of the shower, and right before that, I had a small argument with him. You see, my mother threw some sort of important piece of paper in the bin today, and he got hell angry about it, swearing and all that nonsense. Usually I know not to disturb him when he is in a bad mood, but something must have happened today as I decided to remind him of a similar experience. Two years ago or so, my father threw away my piano exam form (which costs money) and blamed my mother for not keeping it safe. Well, same scenario today except this time my mother threw away his paper, and guess what? He blames her for throwing it away and defends that he kept the paper in a safe spot.

Back to my side of the story, I reminded him of this past "piano exam form" incident and tells me I should keep my mouth shut and called me a "bloody piece of shit". Great parenting example on his part, maybe I should go calling people pieces of shit if I don't get my way. No, actually I won't because swearing is probably the worst comeback anyone could ever think of and it simply spells out "SORE LOSER". Swearing doesn't make you the winner, more like the loser who knows he's lost. Clearly, he doesn't plan to make amends to the past and rather go on while people behind his back spread negative feedback regarding him. It's so sad that he is one of the smartest people I know, while at the same time, one of the dumbest when it comes to listening to people. Not to mention grumpy, I'm sure every time I see him, he seems to get grumpier and grumpier.

Like an exponential curve!

Just label the "x" axis as time, and the "y" axis as level of grumpiness and voila! You have the "Douglas Fir's Law of her Grumpy Dad". Oh, and replace the 2 with 50...I swear he is going through MEN-O-PAUSE.

I'll just start with my list of things that irritate me about the same sex (female).

They bitch about everything

Fussy (I admit to be guilty of this)

They get upset over trivial matters

They create unattainable expectations regarding body shape/appearance and judge people on this system before even getting to know them

They complain too much

Well, I haven't got much to say here...most likely partially due to the fact I'm biased as I am female. Girl power! I amaze myself by my own cheesiness sometimes. Tomorrow I'm starting my first math tuition for this year and contrary to popular belief, I am actually excited. Lack of work to do bores me so much over these school holidays that I hate to think about my retirement maybe 50 years later. However, talk to me in 10 weeks time and I'll say I want holidays! Life is so paradoxical sometimes. Gah, why are my posts so cynical these days? I promise tomorrow will be happy!

Goodbye fellow mortals.

Art trade

Before I go to sleep, here is a quick post on the picture I drew today for an art trade on the Playfish Pet Society forum. From my understanding, some people find these kind of posts boring and self-indulgent so I'm just warning you before hand. If you like seeing what I buy keep reading!

Okay, so today my mother had a dentist appointment which gives us (my sister and I), an excuse to take a trip to the city. After waiting for my mother for one hour at the dentist, we went to McDonald's for lunch and I had a crispy chicken Caesar wrap with some fries and a Sprite.

We then went down to the Esprit outlet and I bought 2 things.

I wonder what is inside this auspicious red bag...

First, I got this chocolate brown long sleeved shirt for $15...

And at first I wasn't going to buy this but it was $6 (lol), what a bargain!

It's original price was $50! The mark up on clothing is crazy before it is discounted.

It's just another long sleeved shirt with a ruched detailing at the front.

After we left Esprit, we then walked around some other outlet stores but nothing took our fancy until we reached the Converse outlet and my sister decided to buy these:

Erm, the brand of the shoes she bought is "Cushion Comfort" - what is it doing in the Converse outlet? How you hope your future will be like

Sigh, this blog challenge thing always asks me the hardest questions where I have to think for a while before I can type out an answer. At the moment, I am at the crossroads of life - I still have not really decided what occupation I would like to have in the future and my school marks this year will partially determine that.

There are some things that I can be certain about regarding my hopes for the future:

Get married - although I do enjoy being alone sometimes in front of the computer, I don't think I can live by myself without any company.

Have children - this kind of stems out from the topic of "getting married". I'm not too sure if I will be a good mother or not (I easily forget things) but I think having children is an experience in life that you must try (in the case that you get married of course). Having children out of wedlock is a no no (lol).

Maintain a steady career - because you don't want to be caught broke in a recession (duh). The housing prices are also sky-rocketing here like wildfire, so earning money is absolutely essential, unless you want to be a hobo on the street with no home.

Improve my interpersonal skills - I am dreadfully impaired when it comes to social skills. Honestly, I don't really enjoy talking to my "friends" because I rather be reading a good book or surfing the net - hence the reason why I tend to avoid Skype if unnecessary. There are only 1-2 people that I talk to a lot but I think I talk to people on forums more than real life. Maybe I don't have "true" friends yet *sad face*, and perhaps they shall stray across my path soon.

Well, this concludes the end of my post. Thank you for reading. TTYL!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-17-how-you-hope-your-future-will-be.html' title='Day 17. Your view on homosexuality

Well, this topic isn't exactly my favourite to write about but oh well, here goes nothing. In my personal opinion, everyone is entitled to love anyone they want as long as it doesn't cause conflict with their family etc. If their parents are okay with their attraction to the same gender then why not, they love each other so let them be. My views are not hindered in any way due to be sort-of belief in Christianity - I'm not the serious die-hard believer.

However, even though I say gay/lesbian marriage is okay...I can't help but laugh in my head when I see one of these couples in real life. Maybe if more people were homosexual then it would be considered normal and I will be indifferent but for now, the sight is too weird for me to go on without a reaction.

Nothing else for me to elaborate really and I have way too many things to do tonight since I <s>wasted</s> spent 3 hours working on the artwork in my previous post.

Adios amigos!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-16-your-view-on-homosexuality.html' title='Day 16. This piece of art is for my little sister and it is of her pet in the game "Pet Society". It took me around 3 hours to draw this and I'm quite pleased with the result. Much better in my opinion than yesterday's Harry Potter fan art of Lily Potter.

Day 15. Something you don’t leave the house without

Before I start talking about "something you don't leave the house without" I wanted to show all you guys a picture I drew. Although in school I am taking a fully academic approach (chemistry, physics, human biology, literature, maths specialist, maths) I still have a large interest in art. During my primary school years I received an "A" grade in art every semester without fail. In high school however, I got "B"s due to the fact that art was based more on clay/cloth/paint type artwork rather than pencil and crayons. My hands must have the strength of hulk or something (as my mother tells me) as anything I touch tends to break so you can imagine what happened to all my clay models.

=______=

Now in my final year of high school, I still like to doodle on scrap paper in my free time. Since it's the school holidays now, I decided yesterday that I would doodle a picture on my sister's tablet - here it is:

As you can see, I'm a Harry Potter fangirl *giggles* but I'm not happy with this picture as the dodge tool went kind of astray and I left two ugly unnatural high-lights on her head. Sigh, I also tried to draw a body for her but it didn't work out (drawing free-hand on a tablet is much harder than the experts make it!). Hopefully I will be able to practice more before school starts again.

Okay, back to the main content of this post. Here is a picture of something I do not leave the house without.

It's my Baby-G digital watch! Sorry for the un-original image, I'm too stressed out tonight to take a photo...centripetal motion is really busting my brain cells. My model is the gold one on the left, but I'll probably upload a nice photo of it tomorrow when I'm not so busy.

*update*
Here are the photos of my watch!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-15-something-you-dont-leave-house.html' title='Day 15. Your views on drugs and alcohol

I've been thinking about what to write for this post for the whole day and don't really feel I've made much progress. Since it's almost time for me to go to sleep however, I'll just chuck a few words out of my head here.

Firstly, I'll start with the issue of alcohol since I know a bit more about it. Personally, I don't see alcohol as a problem in itself, the problem lies in the fact that people are unable to drink it safely. People have been drinking alcohol for who knows how many years, and I'm sure it's a fun way to celebrate special occasions and to treat yourself once in a while (I cannot directly comment as I am underage). I've even heard that drinking red wine can be beneficial for your health so alcohol can't be that bad. People, especially youngsters just need to exercise control over the quantity they drink and make sure if they are at a party or function, that they have arranged transport to go home - drink driving of course, is the main factor for the negative comments against the consumption of alcohol.

Moving on to drugs, I won't even bother talking about the medicinal properties of some drugs and their obvious benefits - surely everyone knows that. The issue is the wide availability of drugs such as marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy), cocaine etc. Despite the laws enforced by the government regarding the illegal marketing of drugs, it is utterly ridiculous how easily people can get a hold of them. Drugs ruin the lives of normal people like you and me, and in turn, the costs of rehabilitation and education cause the government to waste millions of tax payers dollars that could be spent on other things more meaningful. I don't know what to say really, one blogger's opinion doesn't change anything- just a drop in the ocean.

In the future I pray that children will be educated about drugs from an early age, about the serious negative consequences that follow which will affect them psychologically, physically as well as financially (drugs can be extremely expensive!). Today's challenge was rather difficult but I feel like it has helped me improve my English expression and I do hope later on, that I will write more long essay type posts like this one.

Thank you for reading.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-13-your-views-on-drugs-and-alcohol.html' title='Day 13. Life is good, there isn't much point anyway since this year is the most important year of my high schooling so I need all the time I can to study. This year isn't the one to be wasting on relationships and nobody is going to be asking anyone out anyway.

Yes, I'm asian and I don't plan on interracial marriage. I don't have a problem with people of other races (most of my friendship group is Indian) but I find that I can relate to people who are of the same race and can speak the same language other than english. Most of the asian guys I know plan to be someone along the lines of doctor/dentist/engineer, and study a lot - proving that the stereotypes identified by the other races are somewhat correct. They aren't interested in relationships and are trying to get into a prestigious university as for now so I therefore, am the same.

I rather keep today's post short and sweet as I completely went overboard with the length of yesterday's post. One is my "what's in your bag" from the blog challenge I am doing and also a little rant about old people in public change rooms.

Let's get started:

This is the bag I use for school which I bought in Malaysia at the start of last year. It is a Sony Ericsson T715a which I have had since May 2010. Eh, it's nothing fancy like an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy but it serves the important purpose - being a phone to call and text. If I want to listen to music, I always have my iPod touch anyway so no point in getting a high-end phone.

My hand looks so ugly here, like a big meaty sausage arm with a tiny hand. In real life though, I tend to get comments on how small my wrists are, which I inherited from my mum. Strange, maybe it's the camera angle or something along those lines.

-------------------------

Anyway! I have something else to talk about - Old people in public changing rooms. This week and last week, I have been going swimming on every weekday. However, something new happened this week - this bunch of eldery women (around 60-70 years old in my eyes) always are changing in the bathroom whenever I go in there. What's more disturbing is, they are BARE, no clothes at all and just talk casually amidst each other as if nobody else is there. Yes, I do understand it is a change room but there is no reason to be walking around the change room fully bare while young children are also changing less than a metre away from them - and exchanging gawking looks.

Please...for safety of my eyes and many others, please at least turn your back to the wall and then change so that we don't have a full-on real-life display of the female anatomy *cringes*.

Maybe changing in front of everyone is a value instilled by the older generation. I heard somewhere that in the past, families used to take baths together - reminds me of Roman public baths. Even though they are not embarrassed in casually changing in front of people, the older generation's fashion sense is much more conservative than today's generation - especially girls around my age. Seriously, somebody needs to pull up all the girl's shirts and pull down their skirts at my school - they don't realize it, but they are certainly conveying the message that they want people to look at their body.

Some people are just so stupid so here's a scenario:
Girl A: *sits down with her boob's escaping from her shirt and skirt covering her butt by 1 cm*
Bunch of guys: *gawking and then move away*
Girl A: Guys are so retarded and perverted! They keep staring at my chest and trying to look at my butt!

Correction. You are the retarded one dumbass. By unbuttoning your shirt till we can see half your bra and by rolling up your skirt a bazillion times, you are clearly asking for it. If you are so concerned about guys peeking at your "skin" then go and buy an Arabian black cloth and hide in it! Somebody slap them please.

Gosh. I'm not telling anyone to go Mormon or anything but people really need to cover up - especially in school! Please dress yourself properly for the occasion; School does not equal the beach!

Sigh, I didn't intend to start talking about stupid girls from my old lady discussion but it somehow just flowed out of me. Let's hope tomorrow I have something more uplifting to talk about.

Time for a nap. I slept way too late last night and I woke up at 7 AM this morning to go swimming. Good afternoon.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-11-whats-in-your-bag-old-people.html' title='Day 11. A photo of your favorite place to eat

Truthfully, my favourite place to eat is home for many reasons:

1. It can't go wrong - I've eaten the same thing at my house for sixteen years so I know what I can expect

2. When you go outside to eat, there isn't a television, free Wi-Fi or other comforts which you have in your own home. I know it's bad, but I have a habit of eating and playing games on my iPod, reading or watching television. Eating without entertainment is boring (and I don't usually eat as much that way).

3. I'm a simple person - my favourite foods are weet-bix, peanut butter sandwiches and noodle soup, things that you can easily prepare at home. If I go to a restaurant, I end up ordering plain stuff like sweet and sour pork, plain rice with vegetables etc. so it is really not much point when I can eat this at home.

4. Save money! Eating out can be expensive peeps and I know that I rather spend money on stuff that doesn't come out as crap later.

PS: did you check out my new header and footer? I'm sure that I will not be changing my blogskin for a while since I have school in around 2 weeks time...stress mania! Oh yeah, if you were going to ask me where I got my super awesome vintage inspired header and footer from, I'll just tell you now.

I MADE IT MYSELF BECAUSE I AM SO SKILLED (it's not that hard kids!)

And this way, I can be sure that nobody else has the same graphics as me. Hip hip hooray for originality! A photo of the item you last purchased

To be frank, the last item I purchased is relatively trivial and nothing you really want to see - unless you are very bored of course, which is possibly the reason why you are reading my blog.

However, since this blog challenge requests that I post my last item purchased, I will post a picture of this object in all its glory:

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Ta-da!

If you can't the picture for some reason, it says "AQIUM - Antibacterial hand sanitiser"

Yes, I just told you the last thing I purchased was hand sanitizer.

Don't judge me :x
At my school there is no soap to wash your hands with after you do your business; which leaves you with germ infested hands when you come to take a bite out of your lunch.

Ew.

Remember kids, hygiene is important :D

Anyway, sorry about that...my shopping hauls aren't up there with the most interesting things to see - if you think I'm just a silly, bored teenager with nothing else to do than post a picture of hand santiser, just go.

If you are still here then, great! I don't think I mentioned on this blog, but I went to KL, Malaysia around three weeks ago to visit relatives, you know, catch up and stuff. Shopping and eating out is so fun in M'sia because the price of the Australian dollar is so high!

For every 1 Australian Dollar, you get 3 Malaysian ringgit! Chinese/Indian/Malay food at the markets are so cheap - only around $1-2 Aussie dollars for a meal that will cost you $10 here (and tastier too!).

There I also picked up a few items:

.

.

.

Cute phone cases from Tokyo Street Pavilion - where my cousin was working.

Miscellaneous jumble of clothes purchased from who-knows where

Oh, I forgot about these - I actually bought them after I came back from my holiday. I was looking for some cheap, coloured pens so I could coordinate my school notes and these "Bic Cristal" pens were on sale for a pack of 10 for $2! Unfortunately, after I went home and took them outside of the packet I realised that they are just normal black ink pens.

*facepalm*

DAMN YOU STUPID PRETTY COLOURED PEN

I have SO MANY normal blue/black ink pens and now I end up with even more $%@#!

Grrr...

Above: the pens that make me so angry! How important you think education is?

My thoughts on education:
Being raised in an typical asian family, there is always an emphasis on education. Seriously, whenever my mum's friends come over and I eavesdrop on their conversation, it's one of these topics:

education

hong kong/taiwanese drama

gossip about other people's children

asian cooking

education (again)

You get the point. So naturally, I should also be concerned about my education - which I am! I believe that education is important because without it, it will be very difficult for you to earn a living later. Prices of everything bloody thing is rising so much so by the time I decide to raise a family/live on my own etc. it will be extremely important that I have a steady job to fund this.

Living in Australia, most kids here take things for granted - their clean environment, able to wear quality shoes/clothes, going on holiday etc. However, because the rest of my family (cousins, grandparents, aunties etc.) live in Asia, I do believe I am very lucky to live in Australia where everyone has a fair chance at getting a good education - no matter if you are white, black, yellow...whatever. My parents always remind me how their life used to be when they were my age, and trust me, it was far far far worse than the standard of life for people living in Asia (which is still bad!). If I throw away all of these opportunities I have for education living here, that would just be a waste as there are many other people in the world who wouldn't even dream of this kind of life that many people living in 1st world countries take for granted.

So there's my thoughts on education, kind of shorter than expected but oh well! Quality over quantity.

:)

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fu-man.blogspot.com/2012/01/5-how-important-you-think-education-is.html' title='5. When we arrived in London we had TIM SIM in the Chinatown according to the itinerary haha (maybe Malaysians cannot spell dim sum?). My sister ate 2 char siew bao - clearly someone likes those. Oh also, on the way to our restaurant seating I FELL UP THE STAIRS.

We then found the tour guide and she took us to snap photos of - Tower bridge, London bridge, Big Ben, Saint Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. By the way, my sister fell right in front of the Buckingham Palace - how classy.

For dinner we had a 4 course meal:
-tomato soup and bread
-fish and chip with peas
-ice cream with a caramel syrup and wafer roll

The fish and chips here failed - the batter was way too thick...like 60% of the fish. 5/10 PASS.
Tomorrow is our free and easy day, going to bed now. kthxbye.

Monday 19 December 2011
=======================

9:42 PM Paris! We ate our breakfast and then we went straight to the Champs Élysées monument. We took a couple of pictures and then proceeded to go to the Napoleon burial site where there was no TOILET! It was crazy...we ran back to the bus. Then we went to a place with a full view of an Eiffel tower, took a group photo and ran back to the bus again. The moment we reached the toilet at the Eiffel tower WE RAN.

Haha. We went up to the 2nd story of the tower and enjoyed the beautiful view. For lunch we had Chinese food. Yum.

After lunch we went shopping at the La Fa something building, and waited 2 hours in a line just to buy a couple of LONGCHAMP bags.

*Note* The above is not my picture, but it gives you an idea of the absurd queue in front of the store.

Then we had a 4 course dinner:
-goose liver and salad
-herby escargot
-pepper sauce steak and fries
-slice of apple pie

The last two menu items were yummy :)
Tomorrow we have to wake up at 5:30 am to leave to London. Oh dear!

Sunday 18 December 2011
=======================

1:11 PM Last night we were in Belgium - it was super crowded. We went to this square surrounded by churches and there were laser lights everywhere. Then we went to Manneken Pis statue of the little boy peeing. Next to the statue was a chocolate shop where we bought 10 boxes of chocolate. After that we had Chinese dinner and proceeded to the hotel - Ramada hotel.

In the morning, service at breakfast was bad. Those people asked us to hurry up when there was barely any food to eat at the buffet. We went to the atom model after breakfast and snapped a couple of photos.

We then proceeded to Brugge - Venice of the North. There, we saw the church of holy blood and the town tower clock. A couple of souvenirs were also bought close to the area. The bad thing was - it was freezing and there was horse poo on the ground.

For lunch we had:
-green soup and bread
-bucket of mussels and fries
-ice cream with wafer

I couldn't finish my mussel bucket or my ice cream :(

Now we are going to Paris~ Bye Belgium ^^

Saturday 17 December 2011
=========================

1:27 PM We just came back onto the bus after visiting the small village of Volendam. The souviners here are so cheap compared to the other places in Europe - we bought heaps of clog keychains. The food here was okay too, we had a vegetable soup at first, then a salad and then fried fish. After the meal we ha vanilla ice cream. You basically have to pay for every toilet here which is pretty sucky. Usually it is around 50 cents. This morning we went to a windmill place where we saw how the Dutch people make cheese and clogs. We even bought some cheese - smoked cheese which tastes like Shapes Bacon and Cheese. There were also a lot of farm animals and it was so funny when the giant duck went into the toilet xD
After the farm/windmill place, we went on a glass-top boat cruise in Amsterdam at took many photos. Now, we are on the way to Belgium. Yay chocolate!

---

1:38 PM Oh I forgot to write what happened last night. We had a Chinese dinner at a restaurant called ASIADAM. Lol.

We also went to this shop called GASSAN diamond where this Asian lady drew a lot of circles and spoke a lot of Mandarin.
"Me&You...I Love You...Only You"
Nobody in our tour group bought anything except for the rich man's wife (the one with a lot of daughters). Meh, they buy a lot of stuff always anyway.

And yes. We went to the red light district. Was it dodgy and slummy?

No. Nothing. Only saw two prostitutes in their bras and panties.

BOO. Disappointment.

Friday 16 December 2011
=======================

7:59 AM Yesterday we arrived at the town of Titisee in the black forest. First we had our lunch:
-maggi soup?
-half pork knuckle and sausage
-black forest cake

It was extremely filling but yummy :)

The restaurant owners also owned the cuckoo clock + souvenir shop downstairs. There, we were shown a cuckoo clock making demonstration. In the end, we actually bought a small wooden cuckoo clock and a couple of keychain sort of stuff. Outside, we played snowballs with the snow which was so fun!

We then proceeded to the town of Heidelberg where we had our Chinese dinner and we walked around raining street.

Now, I am on the bus again, on the way to Cologne (also Germany). Tonight we are apparently going to a red light district in Amsterdam which sounds quite disturbing :/

*Above* A gothic cathedral in Cologne.

PS: we found out my sister got a book award! Good for her! :)

---

1:24 PM Mercedes Benz is considered a second rate car here :/
Even the taxis are Benz!

Thursday 15 December 2011
=========================

12:36 PM Just came back from looking at the Rhine falls and I think we are going to the Black forest in Germany now. Last night for dinner we had:
-curry soup?
-baked fish in batter with basmati rice
-vanilla and chocolate ice cream
After our dinner we walked down the streets of Lucern, going to the railway station and their Woolworths called Coop. At Coop we bought 2 boxes of pastilles (gummy drops) because we finished all our s-mints.
This morning we had hotel breakfast and then went to lion monument and chapel bridge (and there were white swans!). Then we went to a jewelry/watch shop called Bucherer and got extra free Rolex spoons and my Dad didn't buy his TAG since there wasn't his model there in stock.

So far that's all for this entry.

Wednesday 14 December 2011
==========================

4:38 PM I'm in the bus now, going from Jungfraujoch to Lucern (Switzerland). We just came down the mountain via the cogwheel train which took around an hour. At the top of the mountain, we went to a plateau, a sphinx observation deck and an ice palace which had some ice sculpture (similar to Harbin). We also had lunch which was so much! I think I need to diet when going back to Malaysia :(
We had:
-cheese fondue with bread (didn't taste that nice because of the wine in the cheese)
-chicken maryland with rosemary sauce and potato chips
-curry soup (yeah I don't know either)
-special birthday dessert~with a sorbet, orange ice cream and apple pie slice. Now we are going to the watch shop I think - and seriously don't think my Dad will buy a TAGheur.

Since I didn't write my entry for Innsbruck, here I go now. Erm, the city is famous for their Olympic winter games. First, we had a Chinese lunch...nothing special. Then we looked at the Swarovski crystal outlet but basically came out in a split second. While other people in our group bought stuff, we went to look at a sad/happy bridge and a golden roof. Luckily here, there isn't as much horse poo as Salzburg, Austria. Then we went back on the bus to go to Vaduz for a toilet break. All I remember is that there was a castle on a hill.
Again, we hopped back on the bus to depart to Interlaken - it was so dark and all I could see were trees. Also, we basically went up a mountain round and round which was so dizzy. Then we came down the mountain and reached Interlaken where we had dinner. The guy from my tuition was not joking when he said Swiss people ate cheese. There was a very funny waiter who danced with my sister.

We had:
-salad with dressing
-chicken Maryland with mashed hash browns
-chocolate sauce icecream and banana
-mandarin (which the waiter threw us!)

It was a funny dinner :)
Then we walked back to hotel and sleep.

Tuesday 13 December 2011
========================

8:05 AM In the bus - we are leaving Salzburg Austria to Innsbruck Switzerland. Yesterday it took ages to reach Austria and we first went to a church where our restaurant was. Outside the restaurant was a very pretty garden which turned out to be a cemetery. In the restaurant we had:
-clear soup with pancake (the pancake was sliced up like egg inside the soup)
-a chicken Maryland with buttered potato and vegetables
-Salzburger nockerl (a souffle with berry syrup)

Overall, the best lunch we had since the start of our journey.
Then, we went to Mozart's birthplace and the Mirabelle gardens from The Sound of Music. Our tour guide then left us in the main shopping district, where we bought a couple of magnets, a snow globe and a keychain. It was more expensive pricing than Italy. Then we had a Chinese dinner and went back to the hotel were it was pouring rain like crazy. We were all soggy.

Bonus: the chocolate the hotel gave us had a Mozart face on it :)

Monday 12 December 2011
=======================

10:07 AM In the bus - we are somewhere in Austria now. So many mountains! ★★★★★

Sunday 11 December 2011
=======================

8:26 AM In Florence, leaving to Venice. In Italian, Florence is actually "Firenze" - how strange.

Yesterday we went to the statue of David and the Florence cathedral. We had a baked white sauce lasagna for appetizer, a roast pork with potato wedges for main course and some vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Then, we proceeded to go to the leaning tower of Pisa - surprisingly very clean and of course, marble-like. It rained and then we hopped onto the bus to Florence. We stopped at the hamsup statue of David and took some silly photos. Mr Lee left us randomly standing in the main city of Florence because we lost the tour guide. We then looked at the Florence cathedral (marble again) which was very beautiful. The dinner was some shit Chinese food in a very pretty decorated restaurant. We stayed the night at Novotel, Firenze.

---

8:31 PM In the hotel - Holiday Inn Venice. Today we took a ferry boat to the main tourist island where there was so many pigeons. Then we had lunch:
1. Black squid ink spaghetti (we didn't eat much of it but fei boy ate the whole thing D:)
2. Fried squid with a salad
3. Lemon flavored ice cream

Overall, the lunch was not as good as previous days lunch~
Next, we went to the glass factory and didn't buy anything because too expensive and not very practical. We then sat on a gondola ride which was nice but the dude didn't sing - we tipped anyway.

Oh yes, then we bought souvenirs!
We bought some Venetian mask magnets, a Hard Rock cafe shirt and then some random keychains.

For dinner we had some Chinese food which was much better than yesterday. Tomorrow we head off to Austria.

The End ★★★★★

Saturday 10 December 2011
=========================

3:32 AM At Holiday Inn Rome. She is officially now 11 years old, lucky for her that her birthday is on the school holidays.

Here is my daily summary:

I slept at 1 AM yesterday

I woke up at approximately 6:40 this morning

As soon as breakfast was done, I went to my local recreation centre and swam for 1 hour

After that I went home and took a shower, and then straightaway went to the shopping mall!

Had McDonald's for lunch (Fillet o Fish burger) with some OJ

Walked aimlessly around the mall for 2 hours!

Bought my sister's cake - A lemon torta!

Came home and did some random stuff until now

Included in the "random stuff", I had dinner. Mum's kind of experimenting with different types of Western food to cook on Thursdays. We had a crumbed pork chop with mashed potato and salad with thousand island dressing (my favourite!) Then we wished my sister a happy birthday and cut the cake.

My sister also blogs for fun. Actually, I think she blogs more than me! You can visit her blog here.

Here is her cake! Stay my current weight (I went from 53 kilograms to 47 kilograms which was my goal weight from last year)

2. Keep hydrated by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day

3. Effectively use my school diary to keep organised for this year

4. Get a percentile of 95 or over (obviously preferable!) in the UMAT test this year

5. Obtain an ATAR of 99+

6. Maintain my top student status for physics at my school

7. Pass my piano exam for grade 7

8. Perfect my teaching skills for taekwondo (I am a black belt 2nd dan teaching little kids)

9. READ - since high school I have been a lazy person when it comes to reading

10. Blog more! I am lazy in this section too...hopefully I will find a topic which I can blog about more often

Exams almost over

ehhh...I haven't been blogging at all lately due to STRESS from exams
tomorrow is my last exam - Physics, which is probably going to be hard as it will be content from the full year, e.g. heating and cooling, electricity, forces and motion and nuclear!

HATE HATE HATE nuclear physics...I don't know, it just does not make sense to me. After the rise in popularity of Facebook, I stayed away from games for a while during my lower school years until around October in 2010. I got extremely hooked to a Facebook game named Pet Society but the concept was different from neopets. In neopets, there are actual games within the game website - eg. maze game, snake game, shooting game etc. But in Pet Society, there isn't really any games within the game and there is not much purpose to it apart from decorating your house.

However, in order to decorate your house nicely in Pet Society, you need coins...LOTS of them. In the beginning, my pet's house was pretty much the bare basics - you know, a bathtub, a bed, a table with a few stuffed toys. I wasn't really interested at the time due to my lack of coins. To earn coins you would have to visit your friends homes, giving you 25 coins per visit. This was extremely tedious and there was another "race" game which was also pretty boring with not a lot of coins payout. Compared to the prices of items, e.g. a sofa might cost 3000 coins, a bed around 5000 and each plushie was around 600 coins. So as you can see, in this game it's EASY to spend, HARD to earn.

But how did my addiction to this start? All because of my school friend's little sister. My friend's little sister was SUPER DUPER RICH in Pet Society and one day, she asked if she could buy one of my plushie called the Happy Raccoon. That raccoon plushie wasn't that important to me so I said yeah okay, how much you going to give me in return? And she was like, I'll give you 3xregal carriages for it. A regal carriage in Pet Society is an item that is sold in the store for 18 000 coins and sells back to the cash register for 6000 coins.

WOW! The most money I ever had in Pet Society was around 5000 coins, because I saved up for a week. So I sold it to her for 18 000 coins (3x5999s) and things were good for a while. This was until I clicked on her profile page, a link to a Facebook group which had people who traded items on Pet Society and I found her thread named: Selling Happy Racoon 10x5999.

I fainted.

Firstly because she was making a mega-huge-ass profit off the silly me, and also because I couldn't believe how someone had 10 regal carriages? and also because I just simply couldn't believe that my stupid raccoon plushie was worth so much.

So, being the angry me, I confronted her about this and she sent me 10x5999 and said sorry. Since then, I was furiously selling off my old items on these trading groups and became extremely rich (when I mean extremely rich, I mean like over 500+ of these 5999s). I began collecting so-called "rares" in Pet Society such as more happy raccoons, Gretel dolls, marie antoinette fans etc.

Then came along the "Pet Society cash" popularity where certain items came out where players had to shell out REAL CASH for it. Of course, I didn't use my own money to buy these items, I paid other people 5999s for certain items I really wanted. Now, I look back in my pet society account and think, why do people spend so much money on pixels anyway? I believe that in my Pet Society account, I have around $100 AUS worth of items (because yes, there are people out there willing to shell out real money to obtain these items) and all useless to anything in my life.

http://officialpetsociety.wordpress.com/
See the link? Every item on the blog labelled "boutique" means it costs "real cash" e.g. game card, paypal etc. I believe it's quite overboard now the number of cash items in the game.

The money will be better off with some poor person living in 3rd world country

You might want to argue and say that people spend their money on other useless things such as going shopping and the movies. But if you go shopping, what you bought, you can keep it physically. If you go to the movies, you have that good (or perhaps bad) memory of going there as a past experience. With online games, you never know when the game company will shut the game down or when Facebook becomes unpopular and all the game companies will move to another social networking site. I know some forumers (from the EA forum, the company that owns Pet Society), that have spent over $2000 on the game, buying clothes and items for their non-feeling, 2-dimensional pet. It's absolutely absurd but hey, the world isn't fair like that.

We take for granted our clothes, being fed, have a good education etc. while another person in the world must drag a pile of logs in freezing conditions to earn enough to eat. Fair? No, but that's life.

Yes, I sound like a preacher sometimes. I used to be addicted to this game too, collecting and buying "real money" items off other people on trading forums. But now I realise that life is too precious to be wasting your time over such things and that we should get off the computers more. We are basically dependent on them, you never know when suddenly there are not existent anymore and then we don't know what to do.

Anyways, I think I'm going to have to sweep the floor now so this concludes my long overdue post.

Thank you for reading :)

PS: I would like to make clear that I have not quit the game. The only changes I have made regarding my gameplay is that I do not seek to buy Pet Society Cash items anymore from other people. All the CC items I have obtained since this post were either gifts or I bought them using free CC from the lottery or surveys etc.

My obsession with virtual "pet" games [Part 1]

My mother hates pets in general. She hates cats, is scared of dogs and thinks fish are a waste of time. My father on the other hand loves to play with dogs, but ultimately does not wish to keep one in the house.

It always ended as such: who is going to clean up the shit?

Nobody of course wanted to do that so in the end, no pets in my household. Maybe this is why over the years I have developed a tendency to become addicted to "pet" games to the point of maniacal obsession.

First things first, the first pet-based game I played online was neopets. I started playing in 2007, but soon became very addicted as the pressure grew to obtain the "ultimate" pet. In the silly world of neopets, the ultimate goal was to have all your pets "painted" with special and rare paintbrushes. These paintbrushes were like gold, reaching up to millions and millions of neopoints for one. The games in neopets earn around 300-500 neopoints per play, so can you imagine how long it takes to save up for a paintbrush?

the coveted "royal paintbrush"

to turn this...

to this...

I played neopets for the whole of 2007-2008, slaving away to buy paintbrushes for my three starving pets (yes, I never bought food for them). Until one day in 2008 where I stopped to think, why am I doing this?

1. It has no value to my future life goals

2. I'm just wasting time to earn money so that I can add a couple of cutesy pixels onto my pet

Now, I have around 1 million neopoints and thinking how much time I wasted to try and accumulate them. Heck, I don't even like playing most of the games on neopets, with their crappy advertisements for Nickelodeon plastered across each one.

I lived a life free of virtual worlds, until the rise of facebook and another game which took an even greater toll. Stay tuned for Part 2 (when I can be bothered writing it)!

PS: I don't think I sound ESL in this post. One thing that catches my eye is how popular Subway is for lunches...I've tried it before, nothing much special just a massive bread roll with an assortment of filling depending on your personal tastes.

So I asked my friend who is a "subway-o-holic", going across the road at least once a week to buy a lunch from subway.

Her answer?

"because it is healthy"

I was a bit confused, the subway she ordered was all saucy and dripping with meatball sauce and lardy cheese. Furthermore, the package she ordered also included a Pepsi drink and 3 cookies.

cookies - [the killer of all diets]

I'm confused now...people always say Subway is healthy choice but...how is this even good for you? All refined carbs and fats that do no good to the body~

So I did a quick google search on calories in Subway "meatball sub" and their range of cookies.

OMG!

A standard meat ball and cheese sub is 530 calories...this is the sub alone! But it doesn't end here...

....

ONE...just ONE Subway chocolate chip cookie contains 210 calories! And people aren't likely to eat one...more like a whole bunch~

So, if you eat one sub and choose to be "healthy" and only eat ONE cookie, there is already 740 calories!

To sum things up, I don't think Subway can be considered "healthy"unless you order a sub with no sauce, dressing, non-fried meat, and lots of greens...which like, nobody is going to buy =__="

If you feel like fast-food, this is best (but try and avoid it anyway)

TADAA! Mcdonalds fillet-o-fish clocks in at 380 calories~ eat it without fries or coke, and here you have a lunch with reasonable caloric content

<s>I should really inform my friend about what she's buying from Subway...not healthy! >__<"</s>

Studying is a total pain

Hey again, I haven't really been blogging much due to my EXAM REVISION FRENZY D:

I took my normal maths and specialist maths (kind of like geometry I think) exams a couple of weeks ago already so no need to worry about those...

BUT! Still pending exams are my human biology >.<", chemistry, literature and PHYSICS! So as you can imagine, I'm writing out notes and flashcards now etc. no need to explain >__>

Physics notes is quite easy to do, as most of the subject is just calculation...no need to study that, just practice xD

Chemistry, well hmm also not too bad, since at the back of my text book already has the "key ideas" so just copy them down onto my macbook ^^

And literature is basically read the novel again, memorise poem etc...but my writing here sounds...hmm ESL??? also lower in fat ^^

The brand above is "Tamar Valley", an Australian brand I think :) but I'm sure other brand of Greek style yoghurt will be more or less the same~

Anyways, need to wrap things up now ^^ tata blogger people~

YOOO~

Hi, ignore the YOOO~ in the title of this post since I really did not know what to put the title as.

Anyways, back to the point, I really don't know what I'm going to be posting here on this blog but hopefully I'll make it interesting and cool, or maybe not...

WHY I CHOOSE BLOGGER? Well, at the moment the "in" thing is kind of tumblr I think, but the tumblr seems more like a collection of pictures rather than a TRUE blog. A blog from my experience is an outlet to express one's self through words...TUMBLR is like...wth I don't know, but its not really blog-like.

Well, this is my blog (fu-man is some random word I made-up in Japanese class a few years ago) and somehow it stuck with me >__< and so I made it the title of my blog :)

In Japanese pronunciation, somehow the "HUUU" sound from "human" becomes "FUUU" so hence, Hu-man turns into Fu-man xD But I don't learn Japanese anymore, I quit my classes for it last year due to lack of interest...but I still sort of listen a bit of J-POP now and again.

<s>now please try and forget everything above since it won't make sense</s>

oh gosh...from reading everything I've said above I realised that it's so lame ==""

It's quite late here where I live (it's a secret sshhh) so I better wrap things up here ^^

Goodnight blogger peeps~
